Why the Silent Majority?

- "Silent Majority" is a term used by the U.S. President Richard Nixon in a 1969 speech. It refers to a large number of people in a country or group who do not express their opinions publicly. When President Nixon used it for the first time, it referred to those Americans who did not join in the large demonstrations against the Vietnam War at the time, who did not engage in riots and attack police officers, who did not join in the counterculture, and who did not enthusiastically participate in public discourse or the media. Nixon along with many others saw this group as being overshadowed by the more vocal minority.

Senator Kerry's comments were misinterpreted by Bush. As usual, Bush turned the comments around and mistated what was said. Kerry referred to Bush as not being too bright and getting caught "in Iraq".
Bush is too damned dum to be insulted!
If anyone should apologize to the troops, it is Bush. He sent them to Iraq under false pretenses. He was not truthful with the American people on the reasons for deployment and invasion. It is Bush's War and he is responsible for getting over 2,000 American Soldiers killed. He is also responsible for the "collateral damage" (dead Iraq citizens) exceeding 500,000.
Our troops have performed valiantly and deserve our support. It is our Republican administration that has failed us.
