The hell you say? Does this guy just make things up as he goes along? One of our greatest leaders in American (if not world) History, and in so many words he calls him a racists. Unbelieveable!!!

- "Silent Majority" is a term used by the U.S. President Richard Nixon in a 1969 speech. It refers to a large number of people in a country or group who do not express their opinions publicly. When President Nixon used it for the first time, it referred to those Americans who did not join in the large demonstrations against the Vietnam War at the time, who did not engage in riots and attack police officers, who did not join in the counterculture, and who did not enthusiastically participate in public discourse or the media. Nixon along with many others saw this group as being overshadowed by the more vocal minority.

If you think John makes up stories concerning history--what do you think about Bush? He lies to the American people! He misconstrues nearly all information to meet his own limited view of the world. He has killed nearly 500,000 plus citizens of Iraq. He has led (?) over 2,000 American soldiers to their deaths. He has supported Halliburtan and other "buddy" companies in the greatest raid on the American treasury in history.
The idiot in this commentary is Bush/Cheney and their lapdog Hastert.
Read carefully your history. Lincoln did not liberate the slaves because he felt rightousness indignation concerning slavery. It was a political move--motivated by political necessity. It made a difference in the political arena. He may as well had a personal feeling about slavery, but it was politics which led to the Proclomation.
